Just as I was leaving home to do a bit of shopping this
morning, 15 Superb Parrots passed overhead. While I was shopping in
Weedon Close (excellent Chinese/Vietnamese grocery) I saw about 25 land in the
flowering iron barks.
And even more excitement, as I was entering the 25 at Weedon
Close, I cranked up Google Earth for the first time in a while (to get the
lat/longs), and lo and behold they have updated their Canberra images, so that
25 Pickles Street is unveiled in all its domestic glory (even the little
birdbath is visible). A gross breach of privacy I feel, but a
triumph of satellite imagery!
