I was pretty sure that the garden's resident pair of Brown Thornbills had a nest somewhere nearby, but I was surprised (and pleased) when Mum & Dad turned up this morning with two fully-fledged dependent youngsters in tow.
Heading off to Belconnen Mall later I noticed that the pair of Masked Lapwings that have been nesting in the middle of the roundabout on Luxton St are now the proud (and noisy) parents of 4 little black-capped fluffballs.
