Dynan State Forest (I think that is what it is called), 20ks or so east of Griffith (just off the Burley Griffin Way), about 4pm today, stopped to take a phone call.  Pallid and Fantail Cuckoo on fence posts next to each other and others about, diving on to the ground to get grubs (just as Pizzy says). On the ground red rumps and above Eastern Ring Necks and just over the trees were lots of Black Kites, a Whistling Kite and a low flying Wedge Tail, plus another raptor that I could not identify. There were other birds arround but I also had to concentrate on the phone call .... and I also had to drive home.
