One Black-shouldered Kite near the National Zoo
(observed from the Tugg. Parkway one morning this week). Ordinarily not unusual
but they appear to have been in low numbers this last year.
One Common Bronzewing observed sitting on the kerb
of the exit ramp (from the Glenlock interchange into the city) near the Academy
of Science, preening on one morning last week. Struck me as an odd location for
the bird to be standing. Unless off course preening was a displacement activity
in which case it would sort of make sense.
Both these are in car observations.
