I watched a lone Reed-warbler foraging in the open among the inundated
sedges at Norgrove Park today. I hadn't spotted it on my visit yesterday.
Yesterday lunchtime, however, I did catch a brief glimpse of a Spotless
Crake from the small bridge before it disappeared into the surrounding
vegetation when I approached. It was at the same spot Sandra reported
seeing two on Monday.
I couldn't find it again today. There were also at least two New Holland
Honeyeaters present yesterday.
The pair of Little Grassbirds I used to see every visit last winter have
moved on.
There is also another swan on a nest at Commonwealth Park.
Cheers
