Philip Veerman remarked it's pretty unusual to see five White-eared
Honeyeaters together in the one tree. Although it didn't strike us as so at the
time, with considered hindsight, yeah, cannot recall seeing them feeding in such
close proximity to one another before.
Actually what we thought remarkable were the three White-throated
Treecreepers working simultaneously up the same tree trunk. Ain't never seen the
likes of that before.
Regarding PV's comment about the myth peregrines aren't Australian natives,
I'd add that on a few occasions during my childhood I heard country folk say
that the crow (most likely Australian Raven in the Wagga district) was imported.
Sometimes they would add, "... like the fox and the rabbit were." One time I
asked if this was so then how come there are numerous references to crows in
Aboriginal legends. "Ah, son," the venerable stockman said, "those type of
legends were made up by the bushmen to entertain and impress the
cityslickers."
