We visited the Googong area on Sunday 25 June.

At the Dam car park we saw 4 Pied Cormorants at the water's edge in the distance, but nought else of intereest, At the boat ramp car park there were c. 12 Diamond Firetails and numerous honeyeaters, also several Flame Robins, At the Woolshed and beyond there were many white eared, white naped h/e and a lot of Flame Robins. We walked to Gelegnite Crossing and saw little else and certasinly not the Heathwrens.

The water level at Tin Hut pond is very low and in addition to the waterbirds listed, there were 2 Black Fronted Plovers. I must say the shearing shed and associated buildings are kept in very good condition and well worth a visit.
