I stupidly failed to give a meaningful name to my previous posting: "Booshkie from BIBY". That will not have meant much to anybody there. "Pardalote in a spin" works better.
 
The question is, how fast does a Spotted Pardalote shake its head? Still picture shown for reference, and then the blurred one.
 
Nick suggests about 1/20th of a second.

Well, looking at one of the spots on the pardalote?s head, it seems to have travelled through roughly 45 degrees during the exposure. So a complete rotation of its head, if anatomically possible, would take about 1/20th second. 

Sounds reasonable.
 
Pretty fast, but not as fast as one might have thought from looking at the blur.
My brain is non-mathematical, it just hurts when trying to work out fine details like that. Thanks, Nick.
