I was at the tank from 0900 till 1110 this morning.
-- about 0930 an individual Swift Parrot being pursued by a Currawong
into the horse paddock adjacent to the water tank.
-- At 1005 five SPs circled once then flew into high trees some
distance from me (I was in the horse paddock then, they flew in right
above the watering spots) and were immediately dispersed by
Currawongs - I saw two as individuals pass over me, the first pursued
fiercely by 3 Currawongs and the second by 5(!).
The Currawongs completely dominated the scene until 1015 when they
abruptly departed so I waited to see if this would mean more SP's but
no more appeared before I left.
The tank is accessed from a lane at the southern of two intersections
of Rivett and French Sts Hackett. If there are no SP's around, the
Friend of Mt Majura woman has posted some of Geoffrey's fabulous
photos of Swift Parrots (from the 2005 visit) on the new notice board
near the north-east side of the tank.

Would somebody please advise if the Swift Parrots are still at Mt
Majura? When were they last seen? Also, what is the best access
point for the concrete water tank where they've been seen?
Thanks
