No doubt some eagle eyed legal eagle who is familiar with the birds of PNG will make suitable comments on this debacle with suitable feed back and put their stamp on the flight of the stamps as they are plucked from circulation.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Raptor errors on recent PNG stamp issue

List members concerned with bird matters in our northern neighbour PNG may be interested in the news that a recent PNG stamp issue seems to have used the wrong image of a Harpy Eagle (using that of an American rather than the NG species), and the wrong name for the Osprey. The errors were pointed out by a keen-eyed young PNG graduate student studying in the USA.
