Hey COG bird photographers
Please have a look at this discussion re Pardalotes on the Birds in Backyards forum.
 
The fourth image on that forum page shows a Spotted Pardalote shaking its head. Photo of  head is a symmetrical blur.
I asked the photographer what shutter speed was used.
Answer (after a little coaching) was 1/160th of a second.
 
See if you can work out how fast the Pardalote shakes its head to get a blurred result at that speed.
 
It is extraordinary, when you think about it. Fascinating Stuff.
