Spectacular sight in Boney St. Ainslie today - 2 large swirling clouds of Starlings.  They joined forces and headed off towards Dickson with the beating of many wings clearly audible as they flew overhead.  The show only lasted about 5 seconds and I could not hazard a guess as to numbers, but there were certainly a helluva lot of  them.
