I do not have HANSAB but Morcombe, p354 says of Black Swan

"Breeds any time of year after rain fills lakesand swamps: usually begins early--mid winterin S---" "Clutch up to 10, usually 5--6, incubation time 35--45 days.--" "Cygnets leave nest at 120--160 days". So there willl be plenty of opportunity for people to see the sitting swan at Tidbinbilla

Then  Musk Duck, same page

"Season varies:usually June--Jan, but rain and rising water can trigger breeding at other times" We have had neither much rain or rising water. Morcambe does not say either the incubation period or time spent in nest.
