Monday 28 April, c 3.00pm - a small number (<10?) of YFHEs moved slowly (apparently southwards) through our Ainslie garden. Noisy enough to pull me away from a computer monitor.

YFHEs with a few interspersed White-naped HEs have been flying over sporadically all day, though in fairly small numbers. Maybe 10 per group at most. Some of them don't seem to be in any particular hurry -- quite content to hang around and hawk for insects in the garden or sample the apple on the bird feeder.
