Howdy All,

Not sure whether these are of interest of not.....

First ever confirmed appearance of adult male (i.e in full colour) Golden Whistler here in Higgins this afternoon when I got home from work. Have seen young whistlers a couple of times before in previous years, but never full plumage male.

Also, while working in the Rock Garden at the ANBG (Bot Gardens for those who don't know the acronym) this morning around 9am..... at least 35 yellow tailed black cockatoos flew through. I think I could still hear more in the direction they came from. Most black cockatoos I have seen in a flock in a while, so was of note to me anyway. I'm guessing in the next couple of months while I'm working at the ANBG I'll be seeing them regularly. <grin>

Cheers.
