After Steve's posting I popped round to Yerrabi Pond and found a single Cattle Egret (in non-breeding plumage) on the central east shore, a Great Egret feeding along the central west shore, another Great Egret roosting half way up a casuarina at the northern end of the casuarina copse at the SE corner of the pond and surprisingly an Intermediate Egret wading among aquatic vegetation in the SW corner and very approachable allowing close views.

Cheers

A single male Superb Parrot foraging in a Yellow Box in the north of Gooroo around midday. Judging from the calls we heard, a second bird was probably also in the area. Earlier at Mulligans while doing a reptile survey I saw or heard Sittellas, Western Gerygone, Scarlet Robin, Mistletoebird, Rufous Whistler, hordes of pardalotes (mainly Striated), and Yellow-faced HEs flying over in small numbers. I even found a few reptiles. For those not familiar with reptile surveys, the latter was definitely a bonus!

On the way home I made a quick stop at Yerrabi Pond and saw male and female Musk Duck, 1 maybe 2 Cattle Egrets, and at least 2 Great Egrets.

Cheers
