Spent most of today working in the Holt backyard and my observations of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters moving through parallels those of John Brannan, both in size of groups and estimated total birds noted until about 1300 hours when the movement petered out.

Also, a massed twitterati of some 20 House Sparrows alternating between a neighbour's chicken run and nearby shrubbery – very active and extremely vocal throughout most of the afternoon.
