Well spotted Philip.  Other snaps show that while there is no actual hole this female does seem to have some scarring, or to have lost some of its yellowish skin, in that area of its foot.

Is it an illusion or does the bird have two small holes or tears in the web between digits 2 & 3 of the right foot (counting the hind toe as 1)?
