After receiving advice from people we think it's more likely to be a young Bush Rat. The end of the story is that it turned out to be an unwelcome guest, it scrabbled loudly at night in the bedroom, and started eating the carpet backing. Last night we left the bathroom window open and we think it escaped that way. -- John Leonard Canberra Australia www.jleonard.net ******************************************************************************************************* This is the email announcement and discussion list of the Canberra Ornithologists Group.
