Looking at the map of House Crow on avibase
http://www.bsc-eoc.org/avibase/species.jsp?lang=EN&id=D17F86411ABFA804&ts=1204777936490&sec=map they show this rat-with-wings as occurring naturally, but rarely in Irian Jaya and the islands East of Java. It is very interesting that they haven't managed to get to Australia naturally (but also very good). Given the problems they are causing in East Africa I hope any that do arrive have a very short period of residence - at least outside an oxygen-challenged display cabinet.
