scolopacea, and implications for mating systems’, Emu 101: 105–112.
(cited in the GBS Report) just might help, although I don't think it said much
about juveniles.
I would suggest that young Koels probably do not
learn their calls at all. It is probably entirely (or almost entirely)
instinctive.
