Hello all,
Bateman's Bay Water Gardens can be very good for water birds (including crakes, rails and Lathams Snipe), but at the moment the water level is very high and there's nothing much save for the usual breeding ducks, grebes and swans. There is also a fairly large colony of White-cheeked HEs in the area and just a few days ago I had a young Figbird and Parents. It's quite quiet in the Bay area in general atm, though migration is starting to kick in so you never know...
Cheers,
Dimitris
