| Alex mentioned the thought that swans will have difficulty taking off from a small body of water. While riding my bike past The Boathouse, I saw two of them take off from the gravel area beside the Lake. They seemed to have more trouble than usual gaining altitude - and passed 2m in front of me at handlebar height, which was a tad intimidating. |
