Well, not hanging around the Dendy, anyway.

A:  I’m Not There, the curious presentation of various aspects of Bob Dylan, with Cate Blanchett, among others, as Bob Dylan.  In the Richard Gere segment, a recreation of a fantasy world of outlaw history and myth, containing images from some of Dylan’s more elliptical lyrics, a (male) ostrich and a giraffe amble across the screen.  I do not know of any Dylan song that actually mentions ostriches and giraffes, or refers to African wildlife in even general terms, but perhaps someone can help me on that, although this is probably the wrong chatline.  If there was no reason why not, I would have preferred an emu in the interest of wider biogeographical representation.    Just a matter of availability, I suppose.

Q:  Which new-release movie now showing in Canberra has an ostrich in it?
