The COG office has had a request from a person writing a book and wishes to include some
Australian material in a chapter he is currently writing on 'bird names'.
He would like to find a source for information on the etymology and origins
of various Australian bird names (particularly the endemics) but he can't find
anything much in the usual ref books (though there is a lot on
UK and US
bird names).

I can think of HANZAB and ‘What Bird is That’

Does anyone have any other suggestions?  If so please email me direct
