I happened to be at the corner of Dixon & Mulley st in Holder yesterday afternoon about 5 p.m. Pretty much on the edge of suburbia, with the paddocks between Dixon & Cotter road. There would have been at least 4 Stubble Quails heard within about 100 metres. I didn't see any but I wasn't in a situation to go wandering through the long grass. Not a rare bird but may be of interest to those in or passing by Weston Creek area.
