If I have your directions correctly this is on the Eastern side of Acacia Inlet Park

This morning I noticed the same situation on the Western side of the park, where I was looking, unsuccesfully, for a) Great Crested Grebe; or b) Baillon's Crake; or c) Little Bittern.  The presence and size of the tortoises was far more unusual than the absence of my target species!
