Hi!

I'm sick to death of reports of this rarity and that rarity arriving almost daily to the ACT since I left the area, I'm almost convinced its a conspiricy. When I think of the miles (I'm sure it was still miles when I first started) I traversed over Jerra looking for that Painted Snipe it makes me sick. But never mind life moves in mysterious ways, to make it up to me a Square-Tailed Kite this afternoon flew ,within 2mtrs,over my head. It glided slowly around the small bay at low level following all the contours for app 300mtrs before turning back towards me and again passing directly over the top of me again. I was then able to do my jumps and summersaults with safety without the danger of kicking the bird in the stomach as thats how close it was. No sooner than I had check it out in my Pizzey when it flew over again, I think it was making sure that I had seen it.

Cheers
Bob Rusk
