Gang Gangs can be seen in pairs nearly every morning along the Black
Mountain Tower track between the ANBG and Black Mountain Tower. There is
also usually also a pair or two downhill from there near Barry Drive. I
occasionally see them inspecting hollows or chewing the edges of hollows
but I don't think they are actually breeding.

After the fires of 2003 a few seemed to take up residence in the pines on Isaacs Ridge for a while but even then they were only occasionally heard and rarely seen. Unfortunately, I had had back surgery at that time so was unable to climb up onto the ridge to investigate at close quarters.Ann |
