Just 5 minutes ago a pair of Superb Parrots flew low over my backyard in Gungahlin heading in a south-westerly direction. The male and female were calling to each other constantly. This is my first sighting this season, 10 days later then last year. Hopefully they will fly over our house as regularly as last season, when they were seen or heard almost daily. First record: 27 Sep 06. Last record: 4 Jan 07. Total records: 58. I wonder how long this will last as the suburban sprawl grows. Cheers Marnix |
