Earlier this evening, I came across a mixed group of White-browed and Masked Woodswallows settling down for the night in some Casuarinas about 100m west of the Macdermott Pl. boat ramp on the western shore of Lake Ginninderra. I confirmed 10 birds -- 4 Masked and 6 White-browed -- but there were probably more. The light was fading and they were squabbling over roosts so there was a lot of movement, making it difficult to be sure of total numbers. Two of the Masked WS were obviously a pair (male and female settling down to roost side-by-side on a branch) and the roughly even spread of genders suggests (to me at least) that there were other pairs.
