Melrose TSR Old Tuggeranong Rd (Tugg Pines) [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

I went to Melrose TSR/Tuggeranong pines, at Old Tuggeranong Rd, East of Calwell.

 

Two flocks of yellow faced honeyeaters flew through, with 20 yellow faced and 2 white napes (heading SE), and a flock of 8 noisy friarbirds.

At least 3 Eastern yellow robins and probably about 6. A nankeen kestrel, and an Accipiter- I am pretty sure a collared sparrowhawk, 2 grey fantails, golden whistler, grey shrike thrush, 2 spinebills.

Lots of flowers particularly Leucopogan (bearded heath) and Stypandra glauca which was a bit of a surprise, a couple of species of acacia, Hardenbergia.

There is also a pretty good view of Tuggeranong, from up the top.
