The colony of AUWI at Yowani Golf Club is showing signs of expanding greatly upon last year's effort. Already some 50 to 60 birds are gathering on and around the island next to the 16th green, and should begin nest-building soon, based on last year's timing. Their numbers threaten to displace the Little Pied Cormorants who nest in the same deciduous trees (mostly poplars, I think) every year.
