With regard to Phillip's observations of Ibis overhead was in Goulburn (Bedfordville to be exact) this A.M. where I saw what N.Americans would describe as "skeins" of black and white birds passing overhead. 150+ Straw-necked Ibis (not Canada Geese as first stumbled into my mind...hey it was early). Four different V-formations passed by heading S towards Canberra. Wondering if this is a response to the very windy weather we have been having in the prior days or a more seasonal stimulus given the bright colours of the wattles breaking out below?
