When I got home today at 5 p.m. I had a phone message from Sue this morning presumably about coming to see the WFHE. I & the bird were here all weekend but sorry I can't be here all day every day to guide everyone to one bird. I have given plenty of hints as to where to look and what to listen for. Suffice to say, I didn't have time to look this morning and did not detect it but when I returned home just now and went out the front, the bird was feeding in the Grevillea and flew into the Photinia next to the gap where the wattle tree stump is.

So it is still here.

I will be out for a significant part of Tuesday & Wednesday. If you come dressed like me, it might help......... Really though, if the bird is about and especially if it is active and calling, any birdo worth their 5 cents can find it.

As for it being sick. It looks perfectly well and active to me. It was only that first Sunday, after the heavy rain all the previous afternoon and night that it looked very unwell. But that is now over 5 weeks ago.

So Sue, I hope you came out and found it anyway.

Philip
