Howdy All, I just realised I sent this privately last night to Charmian instead of to the list as I had intended to do. Not much point asking a generaly "Any ideas anyone" question in a private email to one person!! LOL Hi I've heard it here at times. It isn't "common" but when it happens it happens regularly. I don't know whether it is a seasonal thing or not, but I have heard it regularly for a few nights running, but never noticed how far apart those blocks are. It is definitely a long time between them, but how long I have no idea. It could be the same timing each year, but no idea for sure. The other thing worth noticing is that in the cases I have heard there are answering songs from other Magpies in the distance, so it may be a territorial delineation, or perhaps a call of availability? Any ideas anyone?
