Yes, I heard one there too.  Not having as much time to spare as Lachlan, a Bushflyer and one of our finest young orienteers, I did not stop.   I regularly see or hear them in that area, always in the casuarina, which at one point comes down to the highway.

My son Lachlan Dow saw two Glossy Black Cockatoos whilst orienteering yesterday at Timber Tops, a private property east of Bungendore (turn off where the sign on the Kings Hwy notes the Great Divide altitude). He heard them first whilst running, stopped and found them in Casuarina.
