Although it's still winter, there are signs of new season breeding activity,
including:

Saturday 21 July, a fully constructed noisy miner nest in the Campbell Park
carpark. A noisy miner was in attendance though I doubt that there are any
eggs present. I looked up a couple of Canberra bird books, and it seems that
July is unusually early for noisy miners nests here. Maybe a reliable food
source from the nearby picnic tables is the reason for this!

Sunday 22 July, 5 small cygnets and parents at Belconnen Golf Course (pond near
5th tee).

Cheers
Tony
