Hi Milburn,
In my first 10 years or so here, the Crescent
Honeyeater was a regular winter resident in my garden, but not since. I have
even had the New Holland successfully nesting in my garden once in the years
since. When I first heard & saw the WFHE, in the gloom of a dull rainy day,
I first wondered if that is a Crescent Honeyeater, even though it didn't
look or sound right, it was about the right size & shape. I would have been
quite pleased with that.......... The WFHE is quite vigorous at chasing Eastern
Spinebills and Silvereyes out of the Grevillea.
