Grey Kangaroos, their impact and their management are topical. Black Mountain NR and Gossan Hill NR have Grey Kangaroos. As far as I have been able to observe, O'Connor Ridge NR does not. (All three have hares, rabbits and Swamp Wallabies). On a very casual set of observations, there does not seem to be a correlation between the presence of kangaroos and the presence or absence of bird species in the three reserves. In any case, if it does lack Grey Kangaroos, O'Connor Ridge is fairly unusual and may provide an opportunity for a more systematic and robust comparison
