Benj, very interesting.
When I lived in Yarralumla for a while 3-4 years
ago, there were some roosting in the trees against the golf course fence behind
Lane-Poole Place for a while, but only up to a dozen and in winter (July - early
August). They were quite noisy at night as it appeared they included
dependent young.
In the afternoons they have regularly headed out to
roost in the Cotter direction for the past 30 years over our place in Chapman,
but I have never followed up the roost site and have no evidence that it's
closer in winter.
