Hi Grant,
The line of the White-backed Magpies to Black-backed mostly occurs just south
of ACT, such as between here and Cooma. So we are on the northern part of the
hybrid zone. The white-backed ones are surely part of the hybrid population. It
is a trivial difference anyway. I'll forward your message.
