Driving along Captain Cook Crescent just now I paused to count the L Corellas feeding on the centre strip:  160 plus another dozen around the corner in Carnegie.  This is not a unique event due to the drought, as similar winter numbers have been reported in recent years.   The attraction seemed to be the rootlets that could be easily prised from the now-sodden ground.   So far as I could see this had been sown with that Canberra speciality, Parksandplaces Dryland Weed Mixture.
