Good morning all,

I am at present trying to plan a birding trip to India, probably in the beginning of 2009, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with any birding tour groups in that country. I know of the company that operates from Kerala (and their good reputation) in the south-west but would like to hear of any in the north or even in Nepal. I will more than likely be by myself on the bird tour but my wife will be with me either before or after the bird trip when we will be looking at the normal “touristy” attractions. She is not too fussed about 0430 starts and sweating it out in leech “infested” forests.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Mark

PS if anyone is planning birding trips to other parts of Asia, I can supply the names of several excellent guides – 1 in Singapore and 1 in Thailand. My recent very successful Thai trip (with COGgies Rosemary Bell and Mike Doyle) organised by Phil and Patricia Maher was excellent and highly recommended.
