Jack etc,

I think this may be an idea worth considering at the next committee meeting.  Have you replied to Alistair or do you want me to.

Hope the holiday went well.

Chris

Canberra Bird Notes?

Marnix’s sighting of the chestnut-rumped thornbills and the subsequent discussion that required Barbara Allan to delve into the archives, proves the value in owning all, or having access to all back copies of Canberra Bird Notes (CBN). This is not necessarily possible for those of us who have joined COG in relatively recent times, but access could be available to all COG members if CBN were accessible in a digitised format.

It is my understanding that in recent times all back copies of EMU were digitised by BA members, with those involved being provided with a digitised copy, free of charge. I would certainly be interested in owning a complete set of CBN on CDROM or being able to access this online through the Canberra birds website and would be happy to pay for the privilege.

I have a scanner and I would be willing to put my money where my mouth is and volunteer to commence this task. Perhaps someone from the committee or publications sub committee could comment on the utility of my suggestion.

Regards
Alastair
