I was photographing a congregation of magpies an hour ago (1pm Sun)
in our Melba garden and happened to glance up to see this Wedge-tailed Eagle
flying towards the south west.
Emacs!

The magpie pictures were better, but this was more interesting.
cheers

Over the past few days we have noticed a pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles around our neck of the woods (Gungahlin). Yesterday morning a bird was perched in a eucalypt across the road from our place and today 2 birds were circling over Gungaderra Grassland Reserve.

Also today a lone late Tree Martin near William Hovell Drive.

Cheers
