Barbara,

A quick answer - Yes. At other places and times.

A longer answer - There are several bits of behaviours that you mention, that may have been observed before. Pied Currawongs hassle frogmouths, owls and hawks given a chance. As do lots of other birds. Frogmouths and owls often appear reluctant to move during the day in such circumstances (until it gets too bad). Maybe they feel vulnerable to further bother by making themselves known to other birds if they fly. I too have managed to drive off a pair of ravens bothering a Tawny Frogmouth in my backyard and the frogmouth continued to roost for the day in question and that is the only time I've seen one here (in my backyard) in 21 years (a couple other times I have heard them at night).
