Midweek walk Wednesday 21 March 2007

This months midweek walk will be to Gungahlin Hill, a small reserve on the eastern/northern side of the Barton Hwy, just over the road from Giralang/Kaleen.

The reserve has a variety of walking surfaces, some rough, some easy, some steep. A few of the tracks are a bit rough as the recent storms have washed them away, and there is a lot of freshly fallen timber. A stroll into the adjacent Gungaderra Grasslands Nature Reserve may be possible if time permits.

Meet Margaret Robertson at the dirt carpark off the eastern side of the Barton Highway, between Gundaroo Drive and Gungahlin Drive. Map 39 in the Yellow Pages.

Bring water, hat, sunscreen and morning tea.
