At Aranda bushland- SE
gully- Monday
5 sitellas- a vulnerable species and
often there
Grey currawong, Grey butcherbird,
Golden whistler immature and adult female, Rufous whistler- I think a young
male. Heaps of birds
Commonwealth Park-
Tuesday
Decided to visit somewhere different. What a mistake with
hundreds of cross country runners. But still saw a great cormorant carrying
reeds towards Aspen island, presumably for a nest (at this
time of year!). About 50 Australian ravens. 2 Little
corellas.
National Gallery Lunch
today
An unusual lack of birds, only 23 species. But 3 groups
of Yellow faced honeyeaters flying south: 1 with 7 birds, 1 with 20 birds and 1
with 3 birds.
