Last year I picked up a road-killed White-throated Needletail. It was hit by a car on Coulter Dve behind Cook.
I have yet to get the specimen over to the ANWC (slack, I know…). I thought I’d dig it out of the freezer and give you all some idea of what this beautiful bird looks like close up.
I’ve attached three photos. Upper side, under side and tail. The feet are actually pretty big, and I love the fact that the undertail coverts are almost as long as the tail.
